ABR STAYS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

ABR Stays respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us or enquire about our serviced accommodation management, investment or property partnership services.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

ABR Stays is the trading name used on this website by Ben Rutherford Consulting, the business responsible for personal information collected through this website. Postal contact address: 31 Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester. For privacy enquiries, email abrstays@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number (if supplied), the type of enquiry, property location (if supplied), and the information you include in your message. If you communicate with us by email or telephone, we may also keep records of that correspondence.

Our hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and access logs to deliver and protect the website. We do not ask you to send sensitive personal information through our enquiry form.

3. Why we use your information and our lawful bases

We will not automatically add you to marketing email lists just because you send an enquiry. If we introduce marketing communications, we will explain the applicable basis and provide any required choices.

4. Who we share information with

We use Netlify to host our website and process website form submissions. Enquiry notifications may be sent to our business email service. These providers may process information on our behalf to deliver their services. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary and legally permitted. We do not sell your personal information.

5. International transfers

Some service providers may process or store information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK-approved transfer arrangements or applicable adequacy regulations. Contact us if you would like more information about transfers relevant to your enquiry.

6. How long we keep information

We generally retain website enquiry information for three years from the date of the enquiry, after which we delete or anonymise it unless we need to keep particular information longer to comply with a legal obligation, establish or defend legal claims, or manage an ongoing contractual relationship. Other business records may be subject to different legal retention requirements.

7. Cookies and analytics

We do not currently use additional website analytics or advertising tracking tools. Our hosting provider may use essential technical measures necessary to operate and protect the website. If we add non-essential cookies or tracking tools in future, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase your personal information; restrict or object to some processing; and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. To make a request, email abrstays@gmail.com. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns first.

9. Security

We take reasonable organisational and technical steps to protect personal information and use reputable service providers. No online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
